Festivals, concerts and nightclubs can play an important role in figthing sexual assault and harassment, to promote gender equality, healthy relationships and consent.
All these places and venues can be used to spread messages of prevention and awareness.
Rwandan Safe Events website, which also includes an “Event Attendee policies” and specific content for festival, concert and nightclub attendees, will disseminate prevention tools against gender-based violence, inappropriate behavior and harassment.
Our purpose is to help create a safe environment for all event attendees, staff, and performers.
This includes not only creating a Safe Zone when and where possible, but also adopting policies and procedures and making them known to everyone.
