HOW ARTISTS CAN LEAD TO SOCIAL CHANGE

07 DEC | from 05 PM | INSTITUT FRANÇAIS

Join us for an inspiring dialogue on the role of artists in promoting positive social change, both within the arts sector and beyond.

UNMUTE
TRIPLE A
ARTISTS AGAINST ABUSE

Our goal is to transform the culture of sexual violence in the art sector in Rwanda and create a safer, more inclusive environment for artists of all identities, generations, and backgrounds.

The discussion will be followed by artistic performances and a DJ set, for an evening full of creativity and meaningful exchanges.

Objective : Establish a foundational conversation around the intersection of art and social justice with a focus on the role of artists in addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and rape culture.

⇒ How can Art be used to raise awareness about sexual and gender-based violence? How can artists get involved? How can we forge links and partnerships between artists and organizations working against GBV? How can we use our cultural spaces to raise awareness and spread prevention messages? How can we use the transformative power of Art to inspire change and work towards a more inclusive and just society?
